Jeremiah 17:7-8

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots
by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

Some Recent Pictures

We went home to Ohio for Thanksgiving this year and it was wonderful. We had really nice weather for the first part so Adelaide went on her very first bike ride all over Wapak. =)

And in Toledo, we got to see some of our most favorite people in the whole wide world, and that's no exaggeration!

And we got to see snow!!!!!! So fun and so beautiful!

When we returned home we got our Christmas tree! I'll have to show pictures of the finished product in our house at a later date, but it smells SO SO good! I love it! Adelaide doesn't pay much attention to it, but she loves the jingle bells I attached to her playmat! =)
And if you'd like to read a wonderful article to get you in the Christmas Spirit, read this!!

Costumes and a couple others

Our fall here has been so beautiful! We have been able to spend most days playing outside.

Here's our little monkey. We didn't go anywhere for Halloween but we dressed her up anyway and took pictures. I did go out to the grocery store with Adelaide in her monkey costume and she received many compliments. The cutest part of this costume is the tail!!

And here is the other costume we dressed her in, a peapod. Ivy Jones let us borrow these costumes. She is now 3 and when Ashley, her mom, told her Adelaide was going to where these costumes she said, "but mom Adelaide only wears pink." And Ashley said, "then she can wear a pink bow in her hair," to which Ivy replied, "Adelaide doesn't have any hair!"
Yes, she is a bit bald still and I do dress her and pink and make her wear bows so everyone knows she's a girl, but someday she'll have hair. =)

I just thought she looked so perfectly peaceful sleeping the other morning so Serge snapped a pic.

Here she is playing with a pair of my pajama pants that I bought when I was in college! She really likes them and smiles really big when she sees me wearing them so I thought I'd let her play with them. =)

In other news, Serge and I get to leave for Ohio this Sunday  night and we are SO excited!! It has been way too long since we've seen our niece and nephews and we can't wait to meet little Asa, her cousin that's only 3 weeks younger and for the rest of her cousins to meet her. It will be so much fun to have so many kiddos at my parents house-- 7 grandkids now!! We can't wait!

Fun Times!

Serge turned 30 in September. For his birthday we had a waffles and ice cream party and went on an evening boat ride with our wondeful friends who are such blessings!

This is what happens when Serge is left to dress Adelaide and take pictures...

And what happens when I'm left to those things...
actually I just really like her bum bum. It has dimples. =)

I also turned 30, I mean 29, okay, fine, 30 this year. Serge, Addie, and Maui, and I hiked Table Rock on my birthday. It was a blast and so beautiful!

Another pic that shows what a blessing our friends are... or just crazy... in this pic they are all cheering Adelaide on to go poo. She hadn't gone yet that day and was very cranky from it so they are all encouraging her on and pumping her legs to help her. =)

First bites of cereal...
I read this book that said to start with a tablespoon... Adelaide started with about a 1/4 of a cup, finished the whole thing, and at one point grabbed the spoon and shoved it in her mouth! I think she is ready to start cereals!
So maybe half of it ended up on her face...

NJ trip

 Lydia Lu and Adelaide

Hiking at Mohonk Mountain House... It rained all day but was still loads of fun!

Flying kites at the beach with Mike and J in Sea Bright...
 J keeping Adelaide warm.

Mike and Serge flying the kites. It was so windy, perfect for kite-flying!

Serge fixing one of the kites from the strong wind.

Look at the scenery behind us! It's so perfect!

Attempt #1 for a group shot.

Attempt #2... much better! =)

We had such a great time in New Jersey! This vacation was all about food, friends, and fellowship, what more could we ask for! We got to hang out with great friends and got to re-visit all of our favorite places: Ten Thousand Villages, Girl Scout cookie coffee from MoeJoe's, neighborhood dinner at the Lu's, walks around Red Bank, breakfast at The Flaky Tart, yummy treats from Delicious Orchards, hiking and lunch at Mohonk Mountain House, New Corner pizza, prayer time with Holly and J, flying kites at the beach, and one last dinner at the Lu's before we left town! Perfect!

At the Orchard and Rolling

Serge is introducing Adelaide to a goat at the orchard. It didn't phase her much... looks alot like Maui.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent 2 days at the lake before labor day.
I just love her face. She has such kissable cheeks!

There is a festival that takes place around the Ice Cream Station in Simpsonville on Labor Day weekend. Adelaide and I went and helped Serge out and had some fun too.
Here is Adelaide and her cousin, Caleb. They are 2.5 months apart but have the same size feet. =) (in length)
In this picture below Maui had just walked by so both of them are watching her. =) They were talking to each other while they were in there too. Adelaide likes having a little buddy to play with.

Diaper Pics

Just because... you can see how big she's gotten when she's just in a diaper. That's a hernia, not a large outie, fyi. =)
For size comparison, with her doll, Lucilla again...

A small smile...

Adelaide looking at Maui...

Maui looking at Adelaide...

Tummy time...

And 2 pics of the back of her head just to prove she does indeed have hair...

She's all filled out... Last Friday she was 9 weeks old, she goes for all of her shots this Thursday, don't think I'll be capturing that on camera! :-)
