Jeremiah 17:7-8

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots
by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

Fall IS fun...

September came and went so fast that I cannot tell you much of what happened... we went to an orchard and to the zoo- and that's all I have documented. =) Ha!

This little, or big, almost 9 month old is so close to walking... yikes!

 Zoo with friends

Annual pumpkin patch in downtown Simpsonville that Holy Cross Episcopal Church puts on, all proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity!

Her sister was replaced by a giant pumpkin. This made her happy.

Um... we have a cat. Kitty Cat is the name for now. It's been known to wander around the Ice Cream Station and one of the churches downtown so we took it home to help with our gross visitors that we have from time to time. We are not cat people. At all. But this is one cool cat. It plays tag with us, loves Maui (well, swats at her, but deep down loves her, I know) and the girls, and I'm convinced it would take walks with us if we beckoned it. Weird, scary, friendly, pretty kitty cat- welcome to the fam.

August Happenings

At the beginning of August we got to head north to see some friends and family. First we stopped in New Jersey to hang out with some of our most favorite people in the whole world! We loved our time with them!

We had some long drives but they were worth it to see people we love. Here is one of our many Cracker Barrel stops in which Adelaide would always sit in their kid-sized rockers... so cute!

In both Ohio and NJ we had perfect weather. The kids got to play in the sprinkler, go to the pool, go to the playground...
and chalk drawings... =)

So excited that the girls got some cousin/aunt&uncle time!
Adelaide and Mason enjoying Mickey Mouse together.

And we even got to see Nicall and Elise! THese girls had a good time squealing together!

We also celebrated our 7 year anniversary this past monday-tuesday with a little getaway!
We drove a golf cart around all day, ran some trails and looked at views like this...

Grateful for 7 years with this fine fella! =)

Finally... the rest- kitchen & dining room

Dining room before... that's the chandelier that got moved up to the girls' bedroom.

That door is gone and the wall is now a half wall/bar into the kitchen.

Dining room during the renovation. Those are our kitchen cabinet doors laying on the floor being painted black.

Another during picture... the wall and door opened up- yay!

 The dining room after picture.

Kitchen before... that's wallpaper, not paint.

And downstairs... part 1

Before pic of the front room, the play room, the unnamed room. This was the only room in the house with zero wallpaper in it. Yay!!! The whole downstairs had gorgeous wood floors. They just needed a little sprucing up.

Another before picture of the front room, very boring, but included because of the change in the following picture...

Fresh paint and french doors... we wanted these rooms to be open up together, considered doing it fully but our desire for the front room is that it will someday function as an office/school room so we went with french doors so we could still close it off if needed.

The front room all done! (for now, until it becomes an office for Serge/ school room for kiddos)

Our family room before pic... also not much wallpaper, just a small duck border. :) That wall is where the french doors are.

This is looking in from the kitchen. It was a solid wall and we opened it up to a half wall.

 Another during picture.

 Another before picture.

After! paint, french doors, cleaned up floors, and new light fixture.

And the chimney was cleaned out so we could have some fires which we thoroughly enjoyed this winter, especially when our heat went out!

 Another after picture.

One more after picture. Out the door is a screened in patio which we love. I don't have any before or after pictures of it but we had new screening put in and a new ceiling fan/light, and paint. We love it out there!

That's all for today! Hopefully tomorrow I can get the dining room/kitchen pics up then this posting session will be complete!
